At Mas Ribas you can come and enjoy any season, including winter when you can enjoy the environment in a more exclusive way, especially nature.

As well as in summer, when the cultural agenda of the Empordà is filled with a thousand proposals, such as concerts, traditional festivals, markets, bric-a-brac, but at the same time, you can return to our accommodation and enjoy the natural environment that surrounds us, with the great silence to rest and recharge energy. Natural Park of Montgrí, Medes Islands and Down Ter

The natural park where three rich landscapes come together, the Montgrí mountain range, with the Gran mountain and its 12th century castle crowning the highest point, the pine forests and sand dunes and its cliffs over the sea, the second landscape is the fauna and flora that the last stretch of the Ter river confers until its mouth into the sea. And finally, one of the most conical images, the Medes Islands and the rich underwater landscape of great biological value.

Empordà wetlands natural park

This beautiful area, especially suitable for lovers of ornithology. It offers several tours through the lagoons and the beach where you can observe a variety of birds throughout the year. You can also find horses and cows on your tour. Don't forget your binoculars.

Medieval towns

A large number of medieval towns extraordinarily preserved to this day. It will be very easy for you to imagine what they were like in medieval times. Cobbled streets, Gothic bridges, Romanesque churches. There are many towns that we recommend you visit, among them, Castelló d'Empúries, the beautiful Sant Martí d'Empúries. Peratallada, Pals or Monells.

Fishing villages

Like medieval towns, we are lucky to preserve the fishing tradition and the charm of the towns with the typical white houses of the Mediterranean. A good plan is always to get lost in the alleys of these sea-flavored towns, such as Cadaqués, Calella de Palafrugell or Palamós.

Garrotxa Natural Park and volcanic area

Not far from our accommodation, in the neighboring region of La Garrotxa, 50 minutes by car, many of our guests take the opportunity to visit this region full of nature itineraries, trails between volcanoes or through the impressive beech forest of La Fageda d'en Jordà. You can also visit the beautiful and impressive towns of Besalú and Castellfollit de la Roca. A good plan for a whole day of visiting.

Beaches, coves and sea

We don't need to tell you much more than the title. We have the privilege of having a beautiful coast, full of small impressive rock coves for snorkeling and diving, long beaches of fine sand with natural dunes, famous for practicing sailing sports. Enjoy this beautiful coastline however you want, from relaxing in the sun, having a drink at a beach bar, hiking along the coastal paths or practicing some water sports. Of course, we will always ask you to please respect the environment and the locals. We believe in sustainable and future tourism.
